What should I tell my doctor before taking TOTAVIT ?

If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding.
if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement.
If you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances.
if you have anemia, liver problems, or metabolism problems.
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with TOTAVIT. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:
A or anticoagulants (eg, warfarin) because the risk of their side effects may be increased by Totavit.
Levodopa or penicillamine because their effectiveness may be decreased by Totavit..
This may not be a complete list of all interactions that may occur. Ask your health care provider if TOTAVIT® may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.
How should I take TOTAVIT®?

Use TOTAVIT® as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
Take TOTAVIT® by mouth with or without food.
If you are also taking a bisphosphonate (eg, alendronate), take TOTAVIT® at least 2 hours after you take the bisphosphonate.
If you are also taking a quinolone antibiotic (eg, ciprofloxacin) or tetracycline antibiotic (eg, minocycline), ask your doctor or pharmacist how to take them with TOTAVIT®.
If you miss a dose of TOTAVIT® for 1 or more days, there is no cause for concern. If your doctor recommends that you take it, try to remember your dose every day.
Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use TOTAVIT®.
What are the possible side effects of TOTAVIT ?

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. No COMMON side effects have been reported with this product. Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue).
Minerals (especially taken in large doses) can cause side effects such as tooth staining, increased urination, stomach bleeding, uneven heart rate, confusion, and muscle weakness or limp feeling. Read the label of any vitamin and mineral product you take to make sure you are aware of what it contains.
When taken as directed, multivitamins and minerals are not expected to cause serious side effects. Common side effects may include:
• upset stomach;
• headache; or
• unusual or unpleasant taste in your mouth.

How should I store TOTAVIT ?

Store TOTAVIT at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Centrum out of the reach of children and away from pets.
